Six reasons to visit Lancombe Country Cottages

If you are wondering what there is to do during a stay at Lancombe, here’s what some of our recent guests got up to…

The perfect place for a family holiday

“Broad Lodge is like a home from home, really comfortable, spotlessly clean, and worth every penny….

We found Lancombe to be the perfect place from which to explore Dorset. We had a pretty relaxed week, but during our stay we enjoyed lovely ice creams at Café 64 in Maiden Newton, an enjoyable dinner at The Fox & Hounds in Cattistock, and an excellent meal at The Greyhound in Sydling St Nicholas.

We visited West Bay, Durdle Door and the beautiful beach at Burton Bradstock, as well as had a fun day out at Monkey World.”

The views

“Thanks for an excellent break (again). How can anybody fail to not love waking up to this view from the bedroom window…. hope to see you again soon.”

Home from home… even for the dog!

“My husband and I have just returned from a weekend break to Lancombe Country cottages. It really was a home from home. Bride cottage which is light and airy and had everything we could have wanted or needed for the weekend.

We bought along our dog who enjoyed watching the hens and taking in some of the walks. The cottages are also near the towns and seasides which was a bonus for getting around. The perfect get away!”

Pure relaxation

“Bride cottage was idyllic. The cottage is small but so cosy especially with the four poster bed. It is the most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in…

The grounds are lovely especially walking amongst the free range chickens, it’s so quiet and peaceful but not too far to drive to the major towns or seaside.”

“Loved the pool (which was spotless) and the games room. Would definitely recommend it and hope to return.”

And the chickens…

“We have just returned from a fabulous short break at Lancombe….the scenery was stunning, the fairy garden magical and the hens clucky!”
