Magnificent Mother’s Day Ideas

Mums are so special, but there’s only one day in the year that’s dedicated to showing them just how very special we think they are. So first things first, why not make the most of our Mother’s Day offer at Lancombe, if you quote: ‘MumstheWord’ when booking two nights or more over Mother’s Day weekend, we will arrange Flowers and Chocolates to be there waiting for your Mum’s arrival.

When you are here, and relaxing, here’s some more ideas to make that day extra special, without breaking the piggy bank:

Say it with flowers
At Forde Abbey you can make a lovely posy for Mothering Sunday on Sunday 26th March from 10am to 4pm. Open to all ages, you can choose from a selection of freshly picked blooms with experts on hand to help you put together the perfect posy. They will also be hosting their annual Spring Plant Fair with lots of seasonal solutions for the Spring garden, so if you are really feeling generous, there’s an opportunity for an additional gift, but only if they behave!

As seen on TV
Is your Mum a fan of ITV’s, Broadchurch? Why not treat her to a day out to West Bay and the surrounding area and visit some of the truly spectacular filming locations that feature in the drama.

Stop monkeying around
It’s about time the little monkeys treated Mum, by giving them an excuse to visit Monkey World. Better still, on Mother’s Day, Mum’s get 50% off their ticket price.

Fun ‘till the cows come home
Mums are totally spoilt at Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park, as they get Free Entry on Mother’s Day. Just to really ‘milk it’, if you take your Lancombe key with you, then the rest of the family gets 10% off!

Walk off that lunch!
If you want to give the whole family some lovely fresh Dorset air, why not book lunch at one of the many fantastic pubs and restaurants around the area, and walk it off on one of the recommended walks on the South West Coast path; or the many trails throughout this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stay at Home Mum
But we all know that sometimes Mum just wants a chance to relax. That’s why Lancombe is perfect, with it’s home from home accommodation and it’s many facilities, such as the Indoor Heated Pool and Sauna, what could be a better way to say “Thank You” than that?!

You’re welcome! Hopefully see you soon.
